A TRIBUTE BY JUDGE DOCKER.
————
Bathurst, Monday.
Before commencing the business of the Quarter Sessions, Judge Docker read a tribute to the memory of the late Queen. He said she was the head of the system of justice, and from her the Judges derived their authority. During her long reign she had been an example of righteousness, and had always endeavoured to do justice between man and man. The people’s welfare had been her great thought, and she had succeeded in a remarkable way in discharging her responsible duties. He rejoiced that her throne was now occupied by one who had had the benefit of the excellent training and example of his mother, and they felt sure he would follow in her footsteps.
