Thursday.

    At the Circuit Court to-day John Hartigan, charged with horse-stealing, was acquitted. Charles Reynolds, charged with the killing of John Morris, near Tambaroora, was also acquitted. Patrick Moran, indicted for assaulting, with intent to murder, his wife, at Orange, was convicted of assaulting, with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Mary Thomas, alias Bridget Bramwell, before the Court for wounding William Thompson at Bathurst, was convicted and sentenced to eighteen months’ hard labour in Darlinghurst gaol. The records showed that she had served over eighty sentences.

    Thirteen persons were fined for drunkenness.

    Bridget Bramble was convicted of having, while drunk, wilfully and indecently exposed herself, and was sentenced to be imprisoned six months.
