MOTORIST’S MISTAKE
———◦———
“GOT THE TIME, GUY?”
———

When Constable Hackett went out to Westmead at 11.30 pm, on Sunday, he saw a stationary car in Western-road. He saw also a man running about the road with an alarm clock in his hand.

“Have you got the time, guy?” asked the man.

When he realised that he was talking to a constable, he said, “Oh!”

Evidence to this effect was given by Constable Hackett at the Parramatta Police Court yesterday, when the man in question, Allan Wilson (21), pleaded guilty to a charge of having driven a motor car while under the influence of intoxicating liquor in Western-road, Parramatta.

Sergeant Williamson: We have two witnesses here to say that he was driving.

Wilson was fined £15, the costs amounting to £3.6.3. his license was suspended, and he was disqualified until July 30, 1929, from holding a further license.
