DID HIS DUTY
AFTER having looked for a man who had been acting offensively about Burwood Park for twelve months, John Francis Jeffs, following on a complaint from his wife, chased and caught Colin Walker in Park Avenue, Burwood, last week.
On the evidence of Jeffs and his wife, Walker was sentenced to six months’ hard labor by Mr Camphin, SM, at Burwood Court.
“You have performed a duty to the public,” said the Magistrate, adding that it was not a pleasant task to give evidence in cases of that nature.
