“MR RB WALKER, MLA.
————
UAP CANDIDATE FOR HAWKESBURY
————

Maintaining a fine family tradition of public service, Mr RB Walker, MLA, who is again contesting the Hawkesbury seat in the UAP interest, has represented this seat in Parliament with conspicuous success. He is a son of the late Mr Robert Bruce Walker, who held the Hawkesbury seat for sixteen years. His grandfather, the late Hon William Walker, was also member for Parliament for Hawkesbury.

Educated at Sydney Grammar Mr RB Walker, after matriculating, joined the family firm of William Walker and Sons, Solicitors, of Windsor. This firm was established by his grandfather over eighty years ago.

Forceful personality, fluent speech and a capacity for clinching his arguments have made Mr Walker at home in Parliament. Having spent all his life in the electorate he has an intimate knowledge of its affairs and has long been connected with every institution, working for its welfare. These include the Hawkesbury District Agricultural Association, the Hawkesbury Benevolent Society and Hospital, and the Windsor Literary Institute. Even before his own election he had taken part in various campaigns for his father and had been a fine campaign fighter for Mr AG Manning, MHR, and for Mr JN. Lawson, MHR.

If the highest traditions of service, natural ability, and energy are factors Mr Walker should certainly go a long way in public life. Certainly in Hawkesbury his family have driven their roots so deep into its soil that there is no likelihood that this electorate will waver in its strong allegiance to the sitting Member.”
